Education providers need to have a sponsor licence to enrol students to study if they do not have existing / ongoing right to study.

 

Our licence application support package includes the following:

• advice and guidance on the licence application process – this will mainly be by email but may also be by telephone or a call over Microsoft Teams

• completion of the draft online licence application - we will send instructions firstly on registering an account on the Home Office's licence portal and then send some questions to enable us to complete the draft online licence application

• provision of information on the supporting documentation that need to be provided to the Home Office (UKVI)

• support in drafting the covering letter to accompany the application

• review of the documentation / information that is intended to be sent in support of the licence application

• step-by-step guide for submitting the licence application or alternatively a call can be scheduled over Microsoft Teams with the relevant person to submit the application together online

• information about preparing for a Home Office (UKVI) visit

• training session delivered over Microsoft Teams on the duties and responsibilities of having a sponsor licence - this can be delivered either before or after the licence has been granted

It is imperative that prospective sponsors have the processes, procedures and systems in place to fulfil their sponsorship duties and responsibilities prior to applying for a licence.

 

We will guide you through each step of the process and will answer any questions or concerns you may have.

 

If required, we can also visit your premises for a mock UKVI audit or remotely review any documentation/ policies that you have in place to assess whether we believe you have the processes, procedures, and systems to meet your sponsorship duties and responsibilities.
